Payless Shoesource - Shoes ripped
The past couple of times I have gotten shoes from Payless they ripped within the first 2 weeks of purchase... I am very careful when wearing them, I don't "play hard" or get rough with them.
I am a 14 year old girl, being rough isn't my thing. I simply wear them to school. There's not a pair of shoes I own from Payless that haven't ripped within the first 2 weeks. I'm not sure what to do.
It is very frustrating to spend $30 or $40 on sneakers/shoes (and we shop at Payless because it is budget friendly) to have them rip and not be able to exchange or return. Then having to purchase another pair and be out even more money. Payless fits into our budget, but having to spend twice as much due to faulty shoes goes beyond our budget, and shouldn't have to happen.
I am certain you will want to rectify this situation. If not, I am sad to say that I will have to shop else where.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $40.

I work at Payless, if a customer brings in damaged shoes we accept them without any problem. As long as you have your receipt we give you a full refund and if you lost it then we have to give you store credit for the lowest sale price.
If an associate has ever told you that you can't return shoes because they are used or damaged then they are lying to you.
Remind them of the happiness guarantee and they will honor it. At least that's how it works in the US, I'm not sure where you are located.
Policies change over the years. And if a recent employee told you that damaged shoes canโt be returned is because itโs true (within reason) 1 shoes that are defective can be returned no questions asked.
However if you wear shoes over a number of months (3+) youโre trying to return worn out shoes and it wonโt be honored.
Itโs like trying to return your car to the dealership after you put 50,000 miles on it and want a full refund. Just not happening.
That's why I stopped buying shoes there. Now I spend a little more and buy my tennis shoes at academy. It's more expensive initially but I save more I'm the long run.
I work @ Payless and if you bring them back we just exchange them for you! If you have lost your receipt all the store can give you is the lowest price within 30 days. But go ahead and bring them back, if they've truly ripped within the first two weeks
